Resilience 2026: An International Conference on Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS) returns on May 7th and 8th, 2026, bringing together an international community committed to advancing understanding, inclusion, and systemic change for the broader community affected by the recognized disability affecting millions around the world.
Organized by the Environmental Health Association of Canada, and the Environmental Health Association of Québec, the event builds on the strong foundation established at the first edition of the conference in 2025. Resilience 2026 reflects meaningful progress in research, public awareness, and policy dialogue, notably in the areas of indoor air quality, healthcare accessibility, and disability recognition. The conference offers a unique opportunity to engage with leading experts, advocates, clinicians, and individuals with lived experience from Canada, Italy, and more.

The first day of Resilience 2026 is dedicated to the scientific and clinical dimensions of MCS. Presentations will explore the evolving research landscape, including epidemiology, biological mechanisms, exposure science, and emerging approaches to prevention and management.
Day 1 provides a strong evidence-based foundation for healthcare professionals, researchers, policymakers, and advocates seeking to align practice and policy with the growing body of scientific knowledge.
Day 2 shifts the focus from science to systems change, centreing lived experience alongside policy, legal, and human rights perspectives. This day examines how evidence can be translated into inclusive environments, effective regulations, and meaningful protections. Through panels, case studies, and discussions, Day 2 highlights practical strategies for advancing equity, accessibility, and accountability across healthcare systems, workplaces, and public spaces.
