Anxiety symptoms are commonly described in children with chronic fatigue syndrome or myalgic encephalopathy (CFS/ME). This study looked at the prevalence and type of anxiety symptoms in children with CFS/ME compared with a normal European population.Separation anxiety and social phobia were the most clearly elevated in paediatric CFS/ME.

This study evaluated the presence of CFS and FM in patients primarily affected by MCS. In conclusion 96% of the patients studied share the case definition criteria of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and one fourth of them also that of Fibromyalgia.

This study looks at the biochemistry of CFS, specifically the function of mitochondria in producing ATP(adenosine triphosphate), the energy currency for all body functions. By comparing healthy individuals with CFS patients the degree of mitochondrial dysfunction and severity of illness was monitored.
